It's hard to appreciate Nigeria is 58 years old!

So many challenges and yet so many opportunities; different opinions amidst a common goal for survival; distinctive ethnic affiliations hanging on the same thread of humanity; so much drama of comedic proportions within a pot-pourri of the macabre; a living hell described by some or an unrealised paradise thought by many.

Yet every year we trudge along to only God knows where, because we certainly seem not to. How I wish we could understand how best to live with one another devoid of rancour, spite and hatred? This life is too short to live otherwise.

Elsewhere people are progressing and ultimately nations are developing. We seem to be marking time - so much action fused with inaction, we think we are in action.

Too much of everything is bad - an age old dictum is what I believe we are afflicted with. A nation of so many smart people that collectively become dumb.

Yes o, synergy has been turned on its head in Nigeria.

We need to understand that the second part of the inscription on our coat of arms can only happen sequentially.
